Phresh Out The Runway: RiRi is 2014 CFDA Fashion Icon

Bad Gal RiRi and all-around Queen of Cool, Rihanna, was named by the Council of Fashion Designers of America as this year’s style icon.

And I think I speak for all fashion lovers when I say: Werk it, girl. (See her give the Victoria’s Secret Angels a run for their money in her 2012 performance of “Phresh Out the Runway” at the annual VS Fashion Show below.)

Setting fire to the footsteps of former CFDA Style Icons like Kate Moss, Lady Gaga and Sarah Jessica Parker, Rihanna blazed a flawlessly fashionable trail from the tippy top of the Billboard charts, allll the way to the front row of the Paris couture shows.

And we love her for it.

This girl is a force to be reckoned with, especially when you couple this newest accolade with the Balmain spring campaign Rihanna landed late last year.

As an ambassador of all things stylish, Rihanna brought her A-game to all her outfit compilations. A fearless fashionista, RiRi never shied away from making a statement. And with so many on-point outfits in Rihanna’s super sartorialized past, it’s nearly impossible to compile a “Best Hits” list.

Let’s try anyway.

Here are some of my favorite RiRi ensembles, in no particular order.

Looking every bit the diva she is, RiRi owns the spotlight at Dior’s pre-fall show.
